Aboriginal Health Screenings

Our Healthy Kids program can collaborate with local Aboriginal Health Services to provide essential health screenings for Indigenous students. Together, we strive to improve the health outcomes of our youngest community members.

How we Partner with Aboriginal Health Services

The Our Healthy Kids program is an initiative of the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW. We have over 50 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) across the state.

Our Member ACCHS can offer:

Health Screenings we can Facilitate

Ear Checks

Our Healthy Kids program can collaborate with local Aboriginal Health Services to provide essential health screenings for Indigenous students. Together, we strive to improve the health outcomes of our youngest community members.

Eye Checks

We collaborate with Aboriginal health workers to carry out essential eye health screenings. An eye check can detect vision problems early, ensuring kids can see clearly for learning and everyday life. It includes testing for eyesight, eye health, and any conditions that may need treatment or glasses.

Dental Checks

We partner with ACCHS dental services to help identify dental issues early for better outcomes. A dental health check includes a gentle examination, preventive care like fluoride treatment, and advice on good oral hygiene to prevent future dental issues.
