Creating Culturally Safe Spaces for Honest Conversations
At Hillvue Public School, Our Healthy Kids returned this term with an extended Stage 3 program focused on healthy hygiene and habits. By running culturally safe, gender-specific sessions, students opened up, asked questions, and engaged with confidence.
The Our Healthy Kids team had a strong presence at NAIDOC events in Dubbo, Coonabarabran, and Bourke, connecting with hundreds of community members and sparking powerful conversations around children’s health and wellbeing.
Good hearing is essential for learning, and thanks to the Our Healthy Kids program, Year 6 students at Bowen Public School in Orange had the opportunity to receive on-site hearing and vision checks—right at school!
